In 1953, McCarthyism is at an all time high. People are being kept under a close eye, because if you're a Communist, a Pinko, or a Queer – you don't share America's values. The Fear You Enact is a dark political drama that follows everyday people trying to find joy and live their lives in the underbelly of Washington, D.C. All seems quiet and calm until disaster strikes and our protagonist's lives are turned upside down and they are put in more danger than they may realize.

About the Author

Nash Johns (He/They) graduated from Nazareth University with a BFA in Musical Theatre, where they also studied Playwriting. They are no stranger to the stage or screen and are always looking to uplift LGBTQ+ stories and maybe throw in a pop culture reference or seven. Nash is also the face behind NYC Drag Superstar, Nashley Tisdale. In their down time, they can be found at their sewing machine, listening to oldies, or watching romance films that make them cry.
