A play about fatness, sickness, and faith, Drive the Speed Limit is a touching and zany family drama. Eve, a chronically ill and fat teenager, struggles to control her body while navigating her avant-garde mother and devout grandmother’s opposing ideas of what it means to be healthy.
About the Author
Penelope Gould is a Brooklyn-based playwright with an expansive practice that also includes producing, painting, and zine making. Her work has been presented at Paradise Factory, The Parkside Lounge, HERE, The Tank, Berkeley Rep, and on the streets of New York. She holds a BFA in Performance Studies and Dramatic Writing from NYU Tisch.
